GROUND SCHOOL
The first six weeks at College will be in ground school. Learning is fun and
understanding is assisted by our full multi-media presentation classrooms. After this
initial ground school block, flying training and ground school alternate in two week
blocks until all theory exams and single engine flying are complete. All JAR ground
examinations are conducted in Perth.
VFR FLIGHT TRAINING
VFR (Visual Flight Rules) Flight training commences after the first six weeks in ground
school and continues through to the Commercial Pilot Flight Test. The test will be conducted
in a Mooney complex single engine aircraft, with retractable undercarriage and constant
speed propeller.
IFR FLIGHT TRAINING
Initially IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) Flight training is conducted in the complex
single-engine aircraft and the FNPT II simulator. This phase is integrated with the ground
school, up until the end of all single engine flying.
MULTI-ENGINE TRAINING
IFR Training and multi-engine conversion takes place on a full time basis for the
remainder of the course, culminating in the Instrument Rating Flight Test. The later
stages of Instrument Multi Engine Training and the IR Flight Test are conducted at
Cranfield Airport, Bedfordshire, U.K. giving extensive exposure to European IFR
procedures.
MCC
Multi Crew Co-operation and Crew Resource Management Training are conducted as the
final phase of the JAA Airline Integrated Training Program. Training is conducted on a modern
Commercial Jet Flight Simulator. This stage is conducted in the U.K. and
further options for Jet orientation and Type rating courses are available for those who
