(CPL) and is delivered in a structured (integrated) format.

Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK)
Required as a pre-requisite to obtaining a General Flying Progress Test (GFPT).
The course covers Principles of Flight, Engines, Electrical Systems,
Instruments, Maintenance Documentation, Weight & Balance and Performance
Charts. No prior knowledge is assumed This course includes a mock exam
in preparation for the final exam. Weekend courses available.
FULL-TIME:
Duration: 8 days (incl practice exams), Monday to Friday, 8:30-16:00

Private Pilot Licence (CASA PPL)
A pass in the theory exam is required prior to attempting a Private Pilot Licence
flight test.
The course covers Meteorology, Flight Rules & Air Law, Navigation, Human Factors,
Performance and BAK Revision. No prior knowledge is assumed except for BAK. A pass in the BAK exam is suggested prior to attempting this course. This course includes mock exams in
preparation for the CASA exam (3.5 Hours, Pass Mark 70% plus KDR Test). Part Time (2
Nights for 12 Weeks) or Full Time (4 Weeks Mon-Fri). Classroom time 120 hours.
FULL-TIME:
Duration: 4 weeks, Monday to Friday, 8:30-16:00
Commencement:

Duration: 12 weeks, Part time. Tuesday & Thursday,

Commercial Pilot Licence (CASA CPL)
A pass in the theory exams is required prior to attempting a Commercial Pilot Licence
flight test.
The course covers Flight Rules & Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge (or Aircraft
Systems & Instrumentation), Aerodynamics, Aircraft Performance &
Operation,
Human Performance & Limitations or (Human Factors), Meteorology and Navigation. A pass
in the PPL exam is suggested, but not essential, prior to attempting this course. This course includes mock exams in preparation for the CASA exams (7 separate
exams, Pass Mark 70% (80% Air Law) plus KDR Test). Full Time (2 x 3 Weeks Mon-Fri). Classroom
time 180 hours.
BLOCK A - inc Meteorology, Aerodynamics, Aircraft General Knowledge, Human Factors
Duration: 3 Wks Full Time. Monday to Friday, 8:30-16:00

Instrument Rating Theory (CASA PIFR/IREX)
A pass in the theory exam is required prior to attempting a Instrument Rating
flight test. Instrument Rating Theory (PIFR/IREX). A pass in the theory exam is required
prior to attempting an Instrument Rating flight test. This course includes mock exams in
preparation for the CASA exam. (3.5 Hours, Pass Mark 70% plus KDR Test). Full Time (6
days).
Multi-Engine Endorsement and Command Instrument Rating Flying
Training Fees.
Duration: 6 days Full Time. Mon-Fri, 8:30-16:30

Air Transport Pilot Licence (CASA ATPL)
The course is made up of two separate parts. A pass in the Air Transport Pilot Licence
(ATPL) theory exams is usually required prior to an airline interview and acceptance. The
course covers Flight Planning, Performance & Loading, Aerodynamics & Aircraft
Systems, Navigation, Meteorology, Human Factors and Air Law. The pass mark for each
examination is 70%, except for the Air Law where the pass mark is 80%. Full Time (8 Weeks
Mon-Fri). Classroom time 200 hours.

Mathematics
A pass is required as part of the Advanced Diploma in Aviation syllabus. This course is
currently accepted by QANTAS as a Year 12
equivalent for the purpose of direct entry pilot recruitment.

Aircraft Maintenance
A pass is required as part of the Advanced Diploma in Aviation syllabus. The course
is of 4 days duration. Maintenance approved by CASA for a Pilot to conduct, is taught in
theory and then demonstrated in the hangar to consolidate knowledge. Full Time. Classroom
time 30 hours.
