JAA Modular ATPL Theory

The Western Australian Aviation College is proud to offer modular Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) ATPL theory training for pilots with a non JAA licence.

A JAA Commercial Licence allows graduates to fly within Europe (subject to the passport/visa requirement to be allowed to work in Europe). It is also highly sort after by a range of major international airlines, giving students the edge over their peers.

The learning options are very flexible; you can start at anytime and can study at your own pace to complete all 14 examinations. Best of all, you aren’t left alone and will normally be required to attend two weeks of consolidation training in Perth, Western Australia to receive feedback and support.

Please note that for experienced pilots the actual requirements may be reduced.

Being the only JAA Approved Examination centre in Australia (current at May, 2011) you can be sure you are in safe hands to successfully complete your JAA Theory on the road to obtaining your ATPL licence.

Course structure

The JAA Modular Theory Course comprises of 14 subjects of study using world acclaimed material from Bristol Ground School. The course is completed by distance learning and you can sit the examinations here at Jandakot, or in the UK at an approved JAA exam centre. You receive text books, online platforms and animated training DVDs to assist in successfully completing the unit.

Entrance requirements

Applicants must previously hold a pilot licence prior to the commencement of this course. The licence may be a PPL, CPL or ATPL.

The estimated course price for the JAA Modular ATPL is $4,350AUD (at August 2011). This amount is payable upfornt and does not include assosciated postage and handling costs or examination fees.
