Learning theory can be one of the hardest parts of learning to fly. Thankfully the WA Aviation College has a range of Ground School courses to cater to your needs.

Full-Time Course

Overview

The full-time PPL course runs over 3 weeks and covers all the knowledge needed to pass the CASA PPL exam.

Delivery Information

This course is run at least 3 times a year. Attendance is required Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm. We will supply course notes, practice questions and practice exams.

You will need to supply stationery, a ‘basic’ calculator and a non-electronic 'aviation wind triangle and circular slide rule' computer for example Jeppesen Sanderson CR or other brands or a manual slide rule.

Night Course

Note: This course is not currently being scheduled. We are accepting expressions of interest to restart this course. If you are interested please register your interest here.

Overview

The PPL night course is conducted three nights a week. Each week covers a different theory subject with all 7 subjects completed after 7 weeks.

Delivery Information

This course is conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, 6 pm to 9 pm. Each week covers a different theory subject and you can jump on and off the course as desired. Some students will complete all the content in one block where others may break it up.
